THE CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES TAKES ON MUNICIPAL FUNDING IN A BIG WAY

For nearly a decade, the GrantMatch team has served the City of Kawartha Lakes as their government funding strategists, leading to many funding approvals. Over the years, the City's grant strategy has focused on keeping taxes low, green initiatives, and generating affordable housing for residents. City staff work tirelessly to generate shovel-ready projects that align municipal priorities with those held by higher levels of government to ensure the City gets its fair share of funding.

DRIVEN BY RESULTS

The City was approved for a loan of $5 million and a grant of $750,000 to construct affordable housing units that have the potential to maintain a net-zero energy capability.

GrantMatch stacked the Low Carbon Innovation Fund and the Green Municipal Fund for a carbon-neutral affordable housing project for the City of Kawartha Lakes.
