ReFeed leverages grant funding to help fix Canada’s broken food system. 

Over 50% of produced food goes unused, while 10% of people experience ongoing food insecurity. Reducing food waste, feeding people, and repairing the system are the heart of ReFeed’s mission, and ReFeed relies on GrantMatch to help propel their global mission forward.

The GrantMatch mission is to resolve global challenges by connecting clients to funding. 

ReFeed's positive impact on Canada's climate and green economy make them an ideal candidate for government grants.  

Unlike conventional linear models which simply dispose of unused food, ReFeed's Circular Nutrition™ model extracts 100% utility from unused food. They do this by redirecting usable food to food banks to address food insecurity, turning the excess into feed for livestock, and using the rest in a worm farm which produces organic, natural fertilizer and soil amendments. 

DRIVEN BY RESULTS

ReFeed was recently approved for $250,000 in grant funding for a new facility. 

With the help of funding secured through the BC Accelerating Manufacturing Scale-Up Grant Program, ReFeed can pilot their Circular Nutrition™ technology in a new 3,000 square foot custom facility.  

 
The investment will result in job creation, a scale-up of technology, and the ability to expand into North American and global Cleantech markets.
