GRANTMATCH ELIMINATES THE FRICTION INVOLVED IN IDENTIFYING, QUALIFYING FOR, AND SECURING FUNDING

Bobcaygeon has been approved for community revitalization funding with the help of GrantMatch

The Canada Community Revitalization Fund (CCRF) offers $500M for community revitalization to not-for-profits, municipalities, public institutions, and Indigenous communities. Eligible projects can receive up to $1M, covering 75% of total costs, with non-repayable contributions. Indigenous community projects may be eligible for funding to cover 100% of costs.

ORGANIZATION PROFILE

The Kawartha Works Community Cooperative (KWCC) was formed to improve social infrastructure in the Kawartha Lakes Region by enabling the creation, development and management of not-for-profit initiatives with cultural, recreational, environmental, economic, and social improvement aims. 
The KWCC is a true not-for-profit that works towards the interests of this community. GrantMatch works with organizations, in this case the Bobcaygeon Park Enhancement Committee, to ensure the success of their projects. 
 

PROACTIVE FUNDING STRATEGY

Development 

Installation of a large, pre-configured playground with age-appropriate activity islands, improving the capacity and quality of the space.

Revitalization

Replacement of non-compliant, aging equipment to meet safety requirements and improve accessibility to offer modern equipment capable of serving a broader age range. 

Resiliency

Improvements for the community's pandemic recovery, and resiliency. Creating a hub of activity for children and families both living in Bobcaygeon, and visiting.
