The goal of this program is to encourage the adoption of clean technology, ultimately resulting in the changes needed to ensure Canada’s agriculture and agri-food sector achieves an improved low-carbon economy status. A new Adoption Stream offered through the ACT Program is now open and accepting applications, with over $150M available over the next 5 years. The Adoption Stream supports the purchase and installation of commercially available clean technologies and equipment. Priority will be given to those that show a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and other environmental co-benefits. #### Eligible Activities - The Adoption Stream will support the purchase and installation of commercially available clean technologies and equipment with a priority given to those that show evidence of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and other environmental co-benefits. Eligible activities under the Adoption Stream are of the following nature and type: - Energy efficiency improvements that enable better management of energy-intensive agricultural processes - Precision agriculture practices and equipment that contributes to a reduced input use - Bio-economy solutions that use agricultural waste and by-products to generate energy or create bio-products **Note:** Funding will be specifically allocated towards projects under the priority of green energy and energy efficiency, involving the purchase of more efficient grain dryers and fuel switching initiatives. #### ELIGIBLE Applicants  Eligible applicants include: - For-profit organizations, including farm businesses and agri-food processors - Not-for-profit organizations, including co-operatives - Individuals, sole proprietors - Indigenous groups #### Funding Details - The Adoption Stream will focus its support on projects valued at **$50,000** or more of total eligible project costs - For-profit organizations will receive a maximum contribution of **50%** - Non-for-profit will receive a maximum contribution of **75%** - The maximum amount payable to a recipient will generally not exceed **$2 million** per project - Support is available in the form of non-repayable contributions from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada ## Similar posts [Canada Blog ](https://grantmatch.com/hot-new-programs) In Canada ### [Green Project Grants - A Key to Taking Action](https://grantmatch.com/hot-new-programs/going-green?hsLang=en) With government grants there has never been a better time for companies to move forward with green projects.
