GrantMatch is thrilled to announce that today, our company will officially join BDO Canada to better serve the diverse funding needs of our current and future clients. BDO Canada is one of Canada’s largest professional services firms with an established reputation for providing client-centred, high-quality accounting, assurance, tax, and advisory services. GrantMatch will join BDO Canada’s Credits & Incentives group to support a new Direct Funding pillar, complementing their current service offerings and providing GrantMatch clients with access to a wide range of professional services offered by BDO.
GrantMatch is delighted to share this major milestone in our company’s journey. Founded in Ontario in 1994 as FairTax Recovery Consultants Limited, over the past decade GrantMatch has grown nationally under the joint leadership of Partners Mike Janke and Dan Civiero, who strategically scaled our services to include the comprehensive management of the entire grants lifecycle, from program identification and project matching to application writing and compliance reporting. Today, the GrantMatch team includes 35 talented employees who strive to exceed client expectations by leveraging innovative technology, agile services, and a holistic funding approach to maximize their government incentives.
Celebrating GrantMatch’s accomplishments and the company’s bright future with BDO, Mike reflected, “We built GrantMatch on a foundation of trusted, client-focused services and a unique, proactive approach to funding. Mike has played a key role in securing more than $700 million in grants and incentives for organizations across the private and public sectors. Known for his practical, results-driven approach and his focus on helping clients reduce risk and access funding opportunities that support long-term growth and innovation, Mike will continue to lead the GrantMatch team as a Partner at BDO Canada.
Under Mike’s leadership, the GrantMatch team will continue to deliver the same trusted, client-focused services, maintaining our mission, vision, and proactive funding strategy approach, now strengthened through our integration with BDO Canada. This strategic integration will expand what’s possible for our clients through enhanced expertise, innovation, and reach, including:

GrantMatch will bring our innovative technology and agile portfolio of services to BDO Canada, including our proprietary GrantMatch™ Platform, which tracks more than 10,000 government funding programs; the GrantMatch™ Hub, our client-facing software as a service platform designed specifically for Canadian SMEs; and the Funding Assessment & Strategy Tool (FAST), which enables RBC Business Clients to discover eligible grant opportunities through the Services Beyond Banking program. Since 2021, GrantMatch has enabled more than 20,000 RBC Business Clients to discover eligible grant opportunities through the FAST.
