In an effort to strengthen Canada’s climate plan, the Government of Canada has implemented a new Agriculture Clean Technology (ACT) Program. The goal of this program is to encourage the adoption of clean technology, ultimately resulting in the changes needed to ensure Canada’s agriculture and agri-food sector achieves an improved low-carbon economy status. A new Adoption Stream offered through the ACT Program is now open and accepting applications, with over $150M available over the next 5 years.
The Adoption Stream supports the purchase and installation of commercially available clean technologies and equipment. Priority will be given to those that show a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and other environmental co-benefits.
