ATIIP projects aim to enhance the safety, efficiency, and dependability of active transportation networks and communities, while also boosting connectivity between different modes of transportation. Additionally, these projects will strengthen the resilience of both on- and off-road active transportation infrastructure, contribute to environmental protection, and enhance the overall quality of life in underserved communities by providing expanded mobility options and interconnected transportation networks.

Eligibility

Who can apply: State Governments, Local Governments, Federally Recognized Tribes and Affiliated Groups, Planning and Project Organizations, and U.S. Territories.

  • Eligible applicants: From local and regional governmental organizations to Indian Tribes, a diverse range of entities can participate.
  • Eligible uses: Planning, design, and construction of active transportation networks including sidewalks, bikeways, and trails connecting various destinations.
Deadline
 All proposals must be submitted by June 17, 2024, 5 pm EST.
