The Ontario Automotive Modernization Program (O-AMP) is a key initiative under Ontario’s Driving Prosperity auto strategy, designed to help small- and medium-sized automotive parts suppliers modernize their operations, improve competitiveness, and strengthen their position in the global supply chain.
Program Overview
Purpose:
O-AMP helps Ontario-based automotive parts suppliers invest in new technologies and process improvements that support modernization and innovation. The goal is to drive productivity, boost competitiveness, and help companies integrate into global supply chains.
Funding Details:

Cost-sharing model: Up to 50% of eligible project costs

Maximum contribution per project: $150,000

Applicant contribution: At least 50% of total eligible project costs

Funding is non-repayable (grant)
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for O-AMP, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be a small- or medium-sized business (SME) with fewer than 500 employees in Ontario

Generate less than $1 billion in annual revenue

Operate an established production facility in Ontario

Be a supplier to the automotive industry (e.g., Tier 1, 2, or 3 suppliers)
