The Regional Tariff Response Program is now accepting applications. This program provides non-repayable financial support ranging from $100,000 to $1,000,000 for businesses in Canada’s steel and automotive industries. The program is designed to help companies remain competitive, strengthen supply chains, and continue generating economic benefits for their communities in the face of tariff-related challenges.


Who Can Apply?

Eligible applicants include businesses that:

  • Operate in the steel or automotive industries

  • Employ fewer than 500 employees

  • Play an important role in supporting the local supply chain

  • Generate clear economic benefits for their region, such as:

    • Job creation and retention

    • Strengthening the local economic base

    • Adding value to the supply chain

Eligible Activities
