The Tax Reimbursement Incentive program (TRI) is rewarding companies for creating jobs in Idaho.

The Tax Reimbursement Incentive program (TRI) is offering a maximum credit of 30% on income, payroll and sales taxes for up to 15 years. Open to both existing Idaho businesses looking to expand and businesses looking to relocate to Idaho, TRI is available for a broad range of industries, including:

  • Aerospace
  • Agriculture
  • Food Processing
  • High Tech

Project requirements 

To be considered eligible, projects must:

  • Create 20-50 full time jobs (30 hours or more), based on the geographical area of the company
  • Pay equal to or greater than the average county wage
  • Have a meaningful contribution to the community
  • Prove its stability and a significant economic impact to the community and Idaho 
  • Prove that the incentive is a critical factor to its decision

The percentage of tax credit and number of years granted will be evaluated using a combination of:

  • Quantity of jobs
  • Quality of wages
  • Impact on the industry sector
  • Impact on the local economy
  • Impact on the state economy
