British Columbia's ICIP Green Infrastructure - Environmental Quality Program

 

Program Overview

The Green Infrastructure - Environmental Quality Program is currently open and accepting applications. This stream aims to support infrastructure projects that will make quality improvements to drinking water, wastewater and stormwater, as well as reductions to soil and air pollutants through solid waste diversion and remediation.

Funding

Communities in B.C can apply for a total federal and provincial contribution of 73.33% of eligible project costs to support infrastructure through the Environmental Quality Program. Canada and British Columbia governments are investing up to $150 million in the second intake of ICIP Green to support infrastructure projects in communities across the province.

Northern Development Initiative Trust - Connecting British Columbia

 

Program Overview

The Connecting British Columbia program helps pay for infrastructure required to deliver high-speed Internet connectivity to rural and remote areas of the province.

Funding

Funding can cover up to 50% of the total eligible project costs. Additionally, the program will use a baseline funding level of $250,000 per community in order to support the Program objectives. Funding can exceed this baseline in certain circumstances.

Deadline

The program will invite applications for funding through successive intakes until funds are exhausted. The first intake deadline is February 15, 2020 

Canada-B.C. Agri Innovation

 

Program Overview

The Canada-BC Agri-Innovation Program is designed to accelerate the pace of agrifood related innovation to enhance the sector's competitiveness, sustainability, productivity and resiliency. Priority for funding will be given to funding activities identified to advance innovation and competitiveness in BC’s agriculture, food or agri-products sectors, and include:

  • Advancement in plant, animal and food science
  • Energy and waste management
  • New product development and commercialization
  • Improvements in soil, water and air quality
  • Climate change adaptation

Funding

Funding is expected to be cost-shared, with significant potential for net benefit to the industry or agri-food region of the province. Eligible projects may be funded up to 75% in cases where the potential benefit to industry or municipality is demonstrated to be substantial.

The Canada-BC Agri-Innovation Program intake closes January 31, 2020
